The Origin
ONBARAKA began before it was a clothing brand. It began with a prayer.
For around six years, my mother struggled to conceive a son. She prayed, and she prayed, and eventually that prayer was answered. I was born, and she gave me the name Baraka.
At 18, I started looking at the clothing brands around me and felt that too many were saying the same things. I wanted to create something different, while still caring deeply about quality.
The first expression of that idea was 93 Baraka. It began with an African map as its logo and one long-sleeve piece rooted strongly in African design and identity.
On July 5, 2025, the Baraka Tournament brought around 300 people together and built a community around the brand. After the tournament, I realised the African identity was part of where the brand came from, but the message was bigger than one place.
I wanted the brand to be open to people around the world. The belief was for anyone who felt called towards something greater.
So I changed the name to ONBARAKA. The meaning became simple: to move with your blessing.
ONBARAKA evolved into an architectural approach to clothing. Structure, proportion, weight and form became part of how we build. Built for presence means confidence without arrogance. Knowing who you are while continuing to become.
ONBARAKA is for those defined not by where they began, but by where they are moving.
